Happy Monday friends! I haven't done a Weekly 5 in a while, so I decided to bring it back for the New Year. This week I am going to share 5 must haves that are in my make-up bag.
1. Tarte Foundation
I can't say enough about this foundation! It is my favorite to wear right now. My sister, Samantha, who knows her makeup products, introduced this foundation to me. Well...I actually ran out of foundation and confiscated hers because I loved it that much. This 12-hour foundation truly stays all day! Usually at the end of the work day half of my make-up has worn off, but when I wear my Tarte Foundation, I still look human at the end of the day. It is a tad more expensive, but it is so worth it!
2. Cover Girl LashBlast Waterproof Mascara
This Mascara is so affordable and reliable! If you know me, I don't go anywhere without my eyelash curler and mascara. I have tried many different brands and price ranges of mascara and LashBlast is the one I always go back to. The waterproof is obviously harder to get off, but it truly stays on all day without fading or flaking.
3. Laura Gellar Illuminator
I found out about this highlighter from a Texas based blogger Katey McFarlan - Chronicles of Frivolity. I use it everyday and I haven't even put a dent in it. It is worth the money and gives your face the perfect glow.
4. NYX Matte Liquid Liner
NYX has so many great products that work! This is hands down, the best liquid liner I have used in a while. It is inexpensive and stays on all day. I love the Matte finish!
5. NYX Matte Lipstick and NYX Lip Lingerie
This lip combo is to die for! I put the Matte Lipstick in Natural on first. Then over top I use the Lip Lingerie in Lace Detail. It gives a subtle pink touch while remaining a neutral lip. This is what I wear daily.
Tobi Pink Skater Dress // LOFT Jeans (similar here) // Nude Pumps
Forever 21 Sunglasses // Tory Burch Crossbody (similar here) // David Yurman Ring
What a week! The end of the quarter for a teacher is always busy...report cards are due and endless data has to be entered. This dress from Tobi takes my mind off all the craziness of work. The bell sleeves and lace details give a fun and flirty vibe. When Andie and I were shooting this outfit it was so windy and my dress was blowing in a way that would not be camera friendly! So, I put jeans on and we both thought it looked great. It definitely created a more casual look, but with pumps it still has a dressy feel. This will be the perfect top to transition into my Spring wardrobe...yes, I know it's January!
Enjoy your weekend!
