I hope everyone had a great weekend. This week is not only exciting because I only have a few days of work, but it is also my BIRTHDAY week! In honor of my birthday, I am sharing 5 items that are on my birthday wishlist! Yes, some of them are a little over the top, but a girl can dream right?!

2. Kendra Scott Decker Tassel Earrings
3. Nike Tanjun Sneaker
Chic Wish Sweater
It's Thursday and one day closer to the weekend. Yay!!! I have had a busy week with parent/teacher conferences and end of the quarter tasks. Although tiring at times, I am blessed to have an amazing group of students and parents that support what I do each day.
Today I am sharing this simple but vibrant outfit. Thank goodness blanket scarves are still a current trend because I love them so much! There are so many great color patterns and styles that make it perfect for any Fall/Winter outfit. These items are already in my closet, which is why I link a lot of similar styles and not exact. I am an average human being and can't/won't go shopping every week for new items. My wallet would really hate me. My passion is to share inspiration and show you that you can take items you already have and put them together to make a beautiful outfit, that makes you feel amazing.

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I got to spend Saturday with my nephew, Thomas, while his mommy was working. He is the most precious and squishy little guy. Then Dane and I had a relaxing evening watching the World Series at one of our favorite local places, Oh George! Tables and Taphouse. It's almost like our own Cheers, except I don't think they know our names.
This week I wanted to share 5 of my favorite things at the moment. Whether it be a recipe, product, or clothing item...hopefully it is something that you will find useful.
CAPRESE CHICKEN : The Novice Chef
This recipe is one of my favorites right now. I love making it in cast iron!
THE BEST CREAMER
Thanks to my sister, Melissa for getting me hooked on this. My mom now knows when we all are at her house that she better have it stocked. It is low calorie, all natural and the best flavor.
NUME CURLING WAND
This wand gives the best waves! I combine it with a regular curling iron to give more body.
Ok...these tassel earrings are my favorite and they are only $10! They come in a variety of colors and are super cute.
This is one of my favorite hair products. I use it before blow drying my hair. It adds the perfect shine and it smells amazing, all while you are protecting your hair! Note: A little goes a long way.

Yay it's Friday! I am finally heading to my new school and beginning my classroom setup. I will have a lot to do to get ready for my students that arrive next week. A quick thank you to my husband for taking my pictures for this post. My editing skills are still a work in progress so bare with me.
I have always gotten excited for going back to school, maybe because it entails buying pens, notebooks, adorable planners and of course CLOTHES! I did a little back to school shopping earlier this week and found some great pieces that will be perfect for Fall!
I found this super cute side tie sweater from the Loft in their SALE section. I am wearing a Medium because I wanted it a little over-sized. Also when I was there I picked up these amazing jeans. They have a fun cut out on the ankle and they fit perfectly. I was telling my mom about these jeans and funny enough she said one of my sisters just got the same pair. So...I'm telling you they are great!
It's almost the weekend, which means I will be Jamaica bound for a wedding! Dane and I are excited to celebrate and enjoy some island relaxation with some of our friends.
I found this adorable gingham dress at T.J. Maxx and I love it! It was the perfect dress to wear in D.C. over the weekend. Also I am obsessed with these wedges I found at DSW for less than $30! We had a great day enjoying some of the local events and museums, dinner in Old Town and then ending the night with an amazing fireworks display.
